GROUNDHOGS

Both their diet and burrowing habits make groundhogs (Marmota monax) a nuisance animal around farms and gardens. They will eat most commonly grown vegetables and their burrows can destroy small ponds and undermine foundations. Groundhog dens often provide homes for other animals including skunks, foxes, raccoons, and cottontail rabbits. Dens can easily be identified by mounded up soil near the entrance.

Trapping and buried-mesh ground exclusions are effective control measures for nuisance groundhogs, call Celtic Wildlife Control today to get started!
